On one level, RIP My Academic Career is a piece of conceptual art.
On another, it's emotional processing.
On a third, it's incipiently political: it makes visible the "wasted lives" of the global academy.
I think of this site as having connections to academic labor organizing and to feminist inquiry. But I'm not going to give a whole account of that right here.
